Extrapyramidal Symptom Scale (EPSS)

Schizophrenia and the use of antipsychotics are independently associated with increased motor effects, which can contribute to non-adherence to medication, and increased morbidity and mortality. The CCEIP has developed a one-page clinical assessment tool for monitoring motor side effects called the Extrapyramidal Symptom Scale (EPSS) as well as an accompanying demonstration video.
